Namibia is a country in Southern Africa whose western boundary is the Atlantic Ocean. It has boundaries with Angola and Zambia to the northern side, Botswana and Zimbabwe to the eastern side, and South Africa to the southern and eastern side. It gained freedom from South Africa on 21 March 1990 following the Namibian War of Independence. Its capital and biggest city is Windhoek.
