Mombasa is the second biggest city in Kenya. Located on the Indian Ocean, it has a main port and served by an international airport. The city also serves as the center of the coastal tourism industry. The actual name of the city is Manbasa but in Swahili it is called Kisiwa Cha Mvita, which means "Island of War", because of several changes in its ownership. The town is also the administrative center of Mombasa District, which, like most other districts in Kenya, is named after its chief town.
The city is a main trade center and contains a large seaport called the Kilindini Harbor. Kilindini is an old Swahili term that means "deep". The port is so called because the channel is naturally very deep. Kilindini Harbor is an example of a natural geographic phenomenon called a ria, developed millions of years ago due to the rise of the sea through the engulfed a river that was flowing from the mainland. The city is a center of coastal tourism in Kenya. Mombasa island itself is not a main attraction, but because it lies on the route to Nyali, Kenyatta, Bamburi, and Shanzu beaches, it is visited by a lot of tourists. South of the town lies Shelly, Tiwi, and Diani beach. Number of luxury hotels exists on these beaches, while majority of the cheaper beach hotels are situated farther away from the town.
The city is served by Moi International Airport. It is situated in Port Reitz. Flights to Nairobi and other Kenyan and European destinations depart from the airport. The city also has a railway station and Kenya Railways runs overnight passenger trains from Mombasa to Nairobi, but now days the service is not up to the expectations due to the rising number of people using the service. The majority of the roads coming to the city are tarmacked. Major roads to the city includes Jomo Kenyatta Avenue, Digo Road, Nyerere Road, Nkurumah Road, Moi Avenu, Mama Ngina Drive, Barack Obama Road, Nairobi Road and Nyali Road.

We are a Coast based company with our head office in Nairobi and we are looking for a results oriented pro-active sales lady who will be based in Mombasa.(people from other parts of the country need not apply).We are a Nestle professional beverage service partner and we install and maintain Nescafe branded hot beverage machines within corporate offices as well as Nestea branded cold beverage machines within the coastal region.The machines are not coin operated and suit corporates who offer beverages to their staff and clients on a complimentary basis.The suitable candidate will be based in Mombasa and it suits a fresh graduate with a drive to climb the ladder.
The position on offer is that of an entry level sales/marketing lady and she will be responsible for the following:
1.To approach corporate clients and propose our hot and cold beverage solutions to them with a view of placing the machines at clients premises for use by their staff as well as clients.
2.To work with the clients and work out suitable beverage solutions to the benefit of both the client as well as our company.
(training on products will be provided)
The position is initially on a 6 month trial basis and remuneration is 15,000 gross per month all inclusive and an attractive commision package is offered for every machine placed.
