Charlotte has a moderate type of weather. It is situated halfway between the Appalachian Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, and between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia. Charlotte is situated along the Catawba River and close to Lake Norman, the biggest lake in North Carolina.

Charlotte is a main financial center and second biggest banking center in the United States. The America’s biggest financial institution Bank of America has it’s headquarter in this city. This headquarters, along with other local banking and economic services companies, are positioned mainly in the uptown economic district. Electrolux in recent times decided to move their North American headquarters to Charlotte from Augusta, Georgia. Electrolux will also unite all of their North American offices into the new Charlotte headquarters. Swedish based company Husqvarna currently announced that they will transfer their North American headquarters to Charlotte from Augusta also.

Charlotte is the third most undervalued real estate markets in the U.S. but was declared as the best place to live by relocate America.com in its yearly ranking, because of its employment opportunities, crime rates, and housing affordability.
